This year’s winners span an extraordinary range of camping experiences, including hike-in tent sites on the coast, working farmstays, family-friendly animal sanctuaries, RV parks with easy access to public lands, and other stand-out spots across the country.
Each year, Hipcamp compiles data around bookings, reviews, and ratings from its network of more than 8 million users across more than 500,000 U.S. campsites to crown the best Hipcamps in the United States. All award lists are unranked.

New for 2026, Hipcamp has separated its former RV and van camping award into Best RV & Trailer Sites and Best Van & Overland Spots, recognizing that the needs of someone with a full-sized rig can be very different from those of a camper exploring in a small van, 4×4, or rooftop tent.
