Johnson Ferry Baptist Church Invites Community to Celebrate Holy Week and Easter

Marietta, United States – March 13, 2026 / Johnson Ferry Baptist Church /

Marietta, GA —March 2026 – Johnson Ferry Baptist Church invites the community to celebrate the hope and joy of Easter through a series of Holy Week services designed to reflect on the life, sacrifice, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The church will host multiple gatherings beginning with Palm Sunday and culminating in Easter Sunday celebrations at its campus located at 955 Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta.
Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday services on March 29. Worship gatherings will be held in the Activities Center at 8:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 11:30 a.m., with an additional service in the Sanctuary at 10:00 a.m. These services will invite attendees to walk through the final days of Jesus’ earthly ministry, reflecting on the people He encountered, the places He traveled, and the significance of His journey to the cross.
On Friday, April 3, the church will observe Good Friday with services at 12:00 p.m. in both the Activities Center and the Sanctuary. The service will focus on the sacrifice of Jesus and the meaning behind the day Christians call Good Friday, a day that, though marked by suffering and loss, ultimately opened the door to redemption and hope.
The celebration will continue on Easter Sunday, April 5, when the church gathers to proclaim the resurrection of Jesus. Easter services will be held in the Activities Center at 8:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 11:30 a.m., and in the Sanctuary at 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Families, friends, and community members are encouraged to attend and celebrate together the victory of Christ over sin, death, and the grave.
In keeping with a beloved church tradition, decorated crosses will be placed on campus for families and friends to take Easter photos together. One cross will be located outside the Sanctuary and another outside the South Atrium entrance, providing a meaningful backdrop for commemorating the day.
Preschool childcare for children from eight weeks through kindergarten will be available during Easter services, and no additional registration is required. While parking is available on campus, guests may also take advantage of a convenient shuttle service running from the Northside Hospital Parking Lot throughout the morning.
Church leaders encourage the entire community to take part in the week’s gatherings. “Easter is such a powerful and hope-filled season as we celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of our Savior and King,” said church representatives. “We invite everyone to join us as we rejoice together in the hope of Easter.”
