The Laundry Basket today launched Fluff & Fold, a drop-off wash-and-fold service in Hemet with same-day and next-day turnaround, serving the San Jacinto Valley.
Hemet, CA (PRUnderground) October 9th, 2026

The Laundry Basket, a veteran-owned laundromat at 145 E. Stetson Avenue, today launched Fluff & Fold, a drop-off wash-and-fold service. The launch follows numerous calls, emails and in-person requests from customers who wanted to drop off their laundry instead of waiting on it.
Customers can now hand off their laundry and pick it up clean, dried and folded, with same-day and next-day options. The service is open to residents of Hemet, San Jacinto, Valle Vista, East Hemet, Sage, Winchester, Menifee and nearby communities.
Fluff & Fold has a 15-pound minimum and costs $1.25 per pound for next-day service and $2.25 per pound for same-day service when dropped off before 11 AM. Customers can pay with credit or debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Cash App. The self-service washers and dryers still run on quarters and tokens.
Our customers have been asking us for this for a long time, by phone, by email and in-person,” said Jennifer Avila, co-owner of The Laundry Basket. “Laundry is the chore that never ends, especially for big families, people working long shifts, and anyone who’s fallen behind. They already trust us to keep this place clean and our machines running. Now they can hand the whole job to the people they already know and get their time back.”
The service is designed for:
-
*Busy parents and large families with heavy weekly loads
*Night-shift and construction workers who can’t spend hours at a laundromat
*Seniors and customers with limited mobility
*Airbnb and short-term rental hosts who need linens turned around quickly
*Restaurants and small businesses with towels and work items
*Anyone catching up on a laundry backlog
Customers can drop off laundry at the attendant counter during 6 AM and 6PM. Drop-offs received before 11 AM qualify for same-day service.
A Hemet Turnaround Story
Ruben and Jennifer Avila bought the business in February 2018, when it was called Launderland. At the time it had a 2.5-star Google rating and a reputation for loitering. The Avilas renamed it The Laundry Basket and replaced every machine with made-in-USA equipment. They also added full air conditioning, installed 12 security cameras and have kept an attendant on-site at all times. Today the laundromat holds a 4.6-star Google rating and keeps 99% of its 32 washers running every day. Customers regularly call it the cleanest laundromat in town.
The business also gives back. For about 10 years, proceeds from its vending machines have sponsored three children abroad. It also hires locally, including seniors and first-time job seekers.
The Laundry Basket is open every day until midnight. To ask about Fluff & Fold, call or text (951) 286-4444 or visit thelaundrybaskethemet.com.
