Bayview Village Tennis Club (BVTC) has officially opened registration for its 2026 Junior Summer Camp, bringing structured, coach-led tennis programming back to North York for another season. The announcement marks the earliest registration opening the club has offered, giving families additional lead time to secure spots before sessions fill. Head Tennis Professional Peter Nielsen, a former National Senior Champion, will lead instruction across all junior programs.

Junior Summer Camp Takes Center Stage

The 2026 summer tennis camp is the centerpiece of BVTC’s seasonal programming. Designed for youth players of varying skill levels, the camp runs on a weekly session format at the club’s North York location, allowing families to enroll for single weeks or multiple consecutive sessions depending on availability and scheduling needs.

The program focuses on developing foundational and intermediate skills in a structured environment, with each session delivering consistent coaching under Nielsen’s direction. With registration now open, BVTC is encouraging early enrollment as weekly spots are limited by court capacity and instructor-to-player ratios.

“We are opening registration earlier in 2026 because last year we saw multiple weeks reach capacity before March,” said Peter Nielsen, Head Tennis Professional at Bayview Village Tennis Club. “The junior summer camp is built around small group sizes – no more than 8 players per group – and that directly affects how quickly spots are taken.”

The camp forms part of the broader summer tennis camp Toronto-area families have come to associate with BVTC’s North York facility, drawing participants from across the region each season.

Adult Group Lessons Expand Summer Schedule

Alongside the junior programming, BVTC has scheduled adult group lessons running through July and August 2026. The sessions are structured for recreational and intermediate adult players looking to develop consistency, court positioning, and match-play confidence during the summer months.

Junior Fall Program Bridges Summer into Autumn

BVTC has also confirmed the return of its Junior Fall Program, running from September through October 2026. The program is positioned as a continuation pathway for players completing the summer camp, as well as an entry point for juniors who are unavailable during the summer months.
